Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

The dryer is great. Easy to adjust levels. The wrinkle guard is an important feature for my wife. She is pleased. The one negative? The lint screen is frail and does not work in or out easily!

Great dryer, great Natasha very knowledgeable

Mr. Shepherd 3/17/2026

Got it a couple weeks ago, had prior Maytag. Had purchased Lowes 5 year extended. But thought and called number at bottom r of dryer. Talked w Natasha n Florida who set me straight about that 5 year bull""" she was great and very helpful in all aspects, I commend her on everything. I got refund from Lowes and got your service for 59.00 and change per year. So relieved I did only wish I had called number on first one, lasted 7 years and was great, element went out and the cost of replacing that was ridiculous. Bet could have did it myself. All is Good and Natasha is GREAT LOl

No drying punch for heavier clothes and towels

Electric let down 3/3/2026

Overall tge dryer is adequate but that isn't why you buy a Maytag! With iver and hiur if drying, jeans still come out fairly damp and towels are pretty much the same. Our new house doesn't have gas or we would have gone that way with Maytag as that is what we love. Somewhat disappointed in the lack of dry power this one has. Again, this is my first time with a C as dryer so maybe my expectations are to high...Nope!

Clothing experts

Nokester 2/11/2026

Love the simplicity of this dryer. Easy to install. I did have issues switching the door around as if was a bit tricky getting it back together. Nice design. As with most of my dryers lately, they are so efficient that sometimes some of the clothes are dry so if stops but there is one wet towel in the mix. Overall, i would definitely pick maytag products again compared to the Samsung i previously had that was all bells and whistles but didn't do some of the things it should like all the smart settings. I'm getting back to the basics on my appliances and this would be a solid investment along with the Maytag washer i purchased previously and love. This is a company that specializes in clothing cleaning.

Terrible customer service

Nikihirst1 1/28/2026

I received this dryer a week and a half ago and I™™m already having issues with the lock mechanism on the door. Getting through to customer service was a nightmare. Lowe™™s directed me to 2 differ departments that I never was a per to connect to because their phone pad system was not recognizing my press 3. Maytag customer service took over 30 min to get someone on the line and once they finally answered couldn™™t find any of my information, ran me around to finally try and say my product was never registered which was a lie because when I registered it the woman who registered it was the one who sold me on paying for an extended warranty. I was so frustrated she refused to let me speak to a mgr and I had to hang up. I went through my email and found the welcome email for my extended warranty. Called their and they can™™t bring anyone for 2 weeks!! So I sit here today with a dryer that™™s less than 2 weeks old and God knows if I™™ll be able to sue in the next 2 weeks.

Better than a more expensive compeitor

bird7 1/25/2026

After a month of use, I am happy with this Maytag dryer. It is easy to use and the settings seem to dry each type of load appropriately. The best aspect is the easy to clean lint guard. The screen is also sturdier than a more expensive LG I had before which had to be replaced after only 3-4 years.

Disappointed That Repai was needed within 6 months

Dissaponted 1/10/2026

I would have given 2.5 stars if that was possible. Within the first 5.5 months the dryer began making loud(er) noises when drying. It sounded to me like something (maybe the drum) was loose. Drying time increased The repair person was unhelpful. He came turned on the dryer, said a part was needed and it was on back order. He had me sign a form saying he™™d been at the house and didn™™t break anything. It took a few weeks to get notification that the part is in and schedule the next appointment.

SaltyFawkes 1/7/2026
