Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Great Looking!

SAM 21 3/23/2026

I've been very happy with the dryer so far. Great look and has operated well. I do wish it had an interior light. I also purchased the matching washing machine. Also nice looking appliance. In terms of functionality - I prefer using the detergent pods but have found due to the conservative water the unit uses, the pods don't always fully breakdown leaving marks on the clothing. I have had to run the loads a second time. This has resulted in changing to liquid detergent.

Excellent, hardworking washers and dryers.

Karen & Mike M. 8/27/2025

Our family volunteers with As Good As Gold - Golden Retriever Rescue of Illinois, so you can imagine the wear and tear we have to put on our washer and dryer to keep our towels, rugs and bedding fresh and clean for our foster dogs (22 so far). There was no doubt in my mind when it finally came time to purchase a new laundry set It would be another Maytag washer and dryer pair. Also, I love the upgrades, especially the new dial and buttons that replaced the touch screen. I am very happy with my new Maytag washer and dryer!

Faulty and Flawed in less than 50 loads

Mascends 8/13/2025

I will preface this by saying that my wife and I purchased this a little over a year ago, and we only do one load a week sometimes not every week. This Product is faulty, and the warranty program is flawed. The control knob no longer selects cycles and the screen repeats cycle not selected. The warranty on the the dryer only covers mechanical issues, not electrical, which is an absolute joke. The control panel does not have individual parts so the whole screen and computer must be replaced, which costs over $300 in parts and roughly $300 in labor, more than half of its retail price. This is unreasonable. This dryer has been run less than 50 times in its life and it already requires a repair that the company will not warranty. I bought Maytag, because of the Maytag man commercials of the past. I suppose since Whirlpool acquired them in 2006 they have really fallen apart. I will never be buying Maytag, and I will tell everyone about my experience. I learned from this experience that the only company with a viable warranty program is Bosch.

We love our new (replaced) dryer and so far it's working like a charm! The digital panel on our previous Maytag dryer was fried; the cost to fix was close to the cost of a new machine. We opted to replace it and were able to find the same model. Online ordering was easy, delivery was fast, the installation team was wonderful.

Great looking dryer. Functionally works very well and the controls are very easy to use. I only wish it had a light in the drum, which is surprising for this high end dryer. I also wish the end-of-cycle signal could be made louder than the three existing options.

Terrible, Do not buy, low quality. AVOID.

AshPat 12/26/2024

Terrible. DO NOT buy. My dryer model is MGD6630HC3. Drum misalignment and heavy shaking of dryer 3 times within the first year and dryer only being 11 months old. Installed in January, then problems started in August (after only 7 months of use), called for repair, they repaired it, then it ran fine until November (after 3 more months of use), called for repair, they repaired it, ran fine for a week, now calling for repair again. And each time, the earliest repair date is 10 to 14 days from the date of service call, and sometimes it's an additional 7 to 10 days for the repairman to order and receive the parts for repair. It's awful not having a dryer for three weeks, especially when it is less then one year old. These new Maytag appliances are built like garbage. I had a 2006 Maytag dryer that worked perfectly for 15 years no issues. Comparing the build of the inside of the dryer when it was completely opened up, the 2006 vs this 2023 model, the 2023 has a lot of burn marks on the flame cylinder, but the 2006 cylinder had zero burn marks because it was a bigger wider cylinder. Maytag became cheap, made everything worse and then said the burn marks are normal. No, that should not be normal. Go back to building the better quality appliances of the past. I will never buy another Maytag appliance again and I will be telling everyone I know to avoid Maytag appliances. The matching washer works fine but is bad design and the water is constantly turning on and off every few seconds.

Stackable Set

TB223 11/8/2024

Love my New Set Washer/Dryer stackable. It is quiet, quick & efficient. I went from a 30 year plus older set. All the options fit my needs. I can™€™t say enough good things about this set. Best decision.

Bad out of the box

Wxyz1234 11/4/2024

Unfortunately ours was broken out of the box. Water ran all over the floor the first day it was installed when we ran the steam cycle to make sure it worked. Of course that didn't happen until after the installers left because they don't stay to rest the machines, and we didn't want it repaired on the warranty when it is brand new, so we had to pay the restocking fee to return it. Pretty harsh return policy.

WASHERS BETTER THEN MY OLD MAYTAG

RAG TOP 10/25/2024

Great to have new appliances. Only thing so far I would change is when the wash is finished the buzzer is not very loud. My old Maytag had a great loud buzzer

Great Features

Canyon Granny 9/5/2024

This upgraded model was a great replacement for a nearly 20 year old Maytag Neptune dryer. The numerous energy-saving drying options are explained on the handy quick reference chart. Thick items like bath towels in mixed loads require an added 5 minutes on the manual setting as the outside feels dry but the core is slightly damp.

Beware Bait/Switch Delivery Dates/still not here..

AP2024 8/12/2024

Deliver date bait and switch beware!!!!! I ordered on a Sunday a couple weeks ago - Still waiting on my delivery - Website said that delivery date could be last Friday and as I checked out it switched to Saturday. Then a few days later I got an email saying it was switched to Monday. I talked to them and they said there is nothing they can do to change it back and that Monday was it. So I made new arrangements to be home for Monday delivery window. First thing Monday morning it says we are 1st delivery spot at 8:45 am. Then at 10:15 I get an email saying it has to be rescheduled and now the only next option is Friday. This is just silly. Buyer beware apparently it a fiasco to actually get the appliances.

We like the washer and dryer. The only reason we don't give it a higher rating is because you are unable to select cold water to wash clothes.

Great product, not great experience

NJ04 6/11/2024

Very unfortunate I had to bring a technician, there was a sensor not connected causing the drier not to heat up.

Love the new features

bell6 5/24/2024

This model replaced a 21year old Maytag Neptune front loading washer so I had to have another Maytag. There are new energy-saving cycles so it™€™s handy to print out the chart for quick reference. The extra large tub is great for bulky bedding yet still works great on the quick mini-wash cycle. The huge tub makes it easy to miss small items clinging to the back bottom fins when the load is finished, but the front loader is much better than the top loader model™€™s deep tub for shorter people who can™€™t reach the bottom.

I have been looking for the replacement tray for the detergent dispenser. The bottom broke and it is not releasing the fabric softner.

Front Load Gas Dryer Quick Dry Cycle - 7.3 cu. ft.

mrdpow2u 5/10/2024

I am very pleased that I purchased my front Load Gas Dryer from Maytag. The design, its functionality and how efficient the dryer works is incredible. Now I have a matching set with my purchase of the washer a month earlier.

gogone 4/29/2024

We purchased a gas dryer because when we moved into or house the laundry room did not have a 220 hookup for an electric dryer. We are very happy with the purchase of this Maytag dryer.

Do not buy, terrible quality

Mrey 4/25/2024

DO NOT BUY THIS MACHJNE!!!Terrible quality, the machine has not worked since day 1 loud rattling noise. I was promised the machine would be be repaired by Maytag/Whirlpool, 04/04/2024 on 4/09/2024 they sent ASI Appliance to determine what was wrong with it they ordered a part and it is 04/25/2024 still not repaired.they determined that the whole drum assembly is faulty, would be better tol replace the whole machine. Called the warranty department and spoke to two reps and they stateda new part was ordered toda. Customer service at Maytag is horrible i asked to speak to a manager and the rep declined the request.

Disappointed

Stannardbecky 3/26/2024

Had this dryer for 7 months and it™€™s already had repairs done to it that still hasn™€™t fixed out squeeking issue. Repair men are here again for the 3rd time to try and fix this issue. Very disappointed in Maytag, was hoping to have a much better product that™€™s why we went with Maytag this time.
